GREG PICKETT
One of Trans-Am’s “elder statesmen,” Greg Pickett has a 29-year history in Trans-Am racing as both a team owner and a driver. Stands second only to three-time champion Paul Gentilozzi in almost every Trans-Am driver performance category. Made his first Trans-Am Series start at Road America in 1975, finishing fifth. Won the 1978 Category II Drivers’ Championship with four victories in a Corvette. Won twice and placed second twice when he finished second in the 1980 championship. Earned runner-up honors in 1984, behind four victories. Become the only driver to win a race in four decades of Trans-Am competition.
Owner of CytoSport, Inc., a national sports performance/nutritional products company. Married to Penny, has four children and five grandchildren. Daughter Kim is married to two-time Trans-Am Series champion Scott Sharp. |
